Project Description

Pacific is a concept design based on the experiences gained on project Eraora and without the size limitations. Eraora is a very successful project which provides her owners with a great deal of comfort and a great sailing experience. These were all vital factor to keep or improve on in the new design.

The layout of the accommodation was not altered at all with Pacific. It would however be possible to convert the two owner’s cabins into one large owner’s stateroom to provide a greater level of comfort. Much of the alteration was conducted in the aft sections. As there was no size limitation the yacht was extended and a reverse counter stern design was utilised. This blends in harmoniously with the rest of the lines of the yacht as well as having several practical benefits. The extended waterline means a greater hull speed and a more efficient hull design as well as a more stable hull. Sailing performance will also be improved especially in higher wind conditions.

The transom design also allows for easy handling of the tender as well as giving a large choice of tenders which can be used due to the large lazarette. Most importantly from the point of view of her guests it is very easy and practical to enter the sea and enter aboard the vessel from the dock side.
